Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish flush mounting of panels by providing a mounting means by which snap engagement of a first connecting means to a first panel member hole is carried out, receiving a second connecting means inside a second panel member hole, and providing a stepped part brought into contact with a first or second panel member, which is adjacent to the hole, in a narrow long main body. SOLUTION: A main body 112 of a fastener, which is extended long along its longitudinal axis, is provided with a first and second connecting members 110, 120 in the both ends, while a stepped part 111 is connected to the main body 112, and the connecting members 110, 120 are provided with flexibility because of elasticity of their leg parts. When the connecting members 120 is inserted into a second panel member 150 so as to be positioned in place, a part 141 of the stepped part 111 is received inside a hole 152 of a panel member 150, and a second part 121 is brought into contact with a surface 151. Then, the connecting member 110 is installed in a first panel member 140, and a part 121 of the stepped part 111 is received inside a hole 162 through the panel member 140. In this constitution, the panel members 140, 150 are connected together so as to be flush with each other.
