    Abstract: For a temperature-compensated gas spring, which consists of a container in which a concentrically arranged cylinder is arranged, where a main pressure chamber is separated in sealing manner from an auxiliary pressure chamber by a piston which is connected with a piston rod, a damping arrangement is provided for controlling the outward thrust speed. This is effected in that a damping chamber is arranged in which a damping piston provided with damping valves slides, the damping piston being arranged on an auxiliary piston rod which is in axially fixed connection with the piston rod.

    Abstract: A gas spring (1) is provided in an illustrational example between a framework (4) and a trunk cover (5) of a motor vehicle for compensating for the weight of the trunk cover (5) during movement of said trunk cover (5). The gas spring (1) is hinged to the framework (4) and to the trunk cover (5). For eliminating the spring force action onto the hinge (6) between the trunk cover (5) and the gas spring (1) in the closed position of the trunk cover (5), the part of the gas spring (1) hinged to the trunk cover (5) is supported on the framework (4), when the trunk cover (5) is in its closed position. Alternately, the gas spring (1) is locked when the trunk cover (5) is in its closed position.

    Abstract: The pneumatic spring (10) has a tubular container (11) with a reciprocating piston (40) and a pressurised gas filled compartment (12). The outlet end of the container has a guide (18) for the piston rod (14), which is sealed outside. Between the piston rod seal (17) and the pneumatic compartment is a liq. filled chamber (13) with a sealing ring (15), separating the pneumatic compartment and the liq. filled chamber. The outside (19) of the sealing ring has beads (20), abutting against the inner wall (30) of the container. The sealing ring has a narrow sealing lip (15b), pointing radially inwards and resting against the surface (14a) of the piston rod.
