Abstract: 1298. Stade, G. Jan. 19. Evaporating saccharine liquids &c.-The evaporator F, for sugar solutions or otber liquids, is provided with an outlet s, connected to exhausting- apparatus, and with a discharge valve H. The heaters C, D are made with conical walls t, v and cylindrical walls p, q, and with pipes e through which the solution to be heated can pass. Steam is admitted to the heaters through the pipes i, i , and, when necessary, air is allowed to escape through the cocks f , a , and water is drawn off throngh the pipes m, m placed at the lowest portions of the heaters. The solution rises through the pipes e and descends through the telescopic column g, the height of which is regulated by means of the spindle x.
