Abstract:
A cluster assembly wherein a block has three longitudinal passageways. Connector clips are inserted into those passageways. The block has transverse holes in a front wall providing a communication to the clips so that pins from a header can pass through the holes and be connected to the clips. One of those holes has a boss surrounding it to improve the assembly of the cluster assembly to the three-pin header.
Abstract:
A pump includes a coaxially integrated pump relief valve element (50) of high density polymer material that seats against a hard metallic sleeve (32). The sleeve (32) is pressed into a first counterbore (22) around the relief flow channel (20) with an interference fit. That axial end of the sleeve bearing the valve seat face projects, for a substantial proportion of the sleeve length, beyond the first counterbore shoulder into a second, larger diameter counterbore space (28) to provide an annular space (30) around the outside diameter surface of the sleeve to free the seat face end of the sleeve from direct structural restraint.
Abstract:
The present invention utilizes capacitive principles to sense the level of a liquid contained within a receptacle. As a liquid rises and falls in the container, the dielectric effect of the liquid changes the effective capacitance of a sensing capacitor (C4) which is detected by electronic circuitry coupled to the sensor. One plate of the sensor capacitor is a probe (C9) disposed within a receptacle while a grounded conductive portion of the receptacle is a second plate of the capacitor. The liquid within the receptacle acts as a dielectric between the plates.
Abstract:
Within a hermetically-sealed compressor (10), a cluster assembly provides the connection to a three-prong header so that power can be applied to the motor (12) within the compressor (10). The walls of the compressor (10) are closed as completely as possible except for openings for leads extending from the cluster block (28) and for pins (15) from the header (16) projecting into the cluster block (28). Each pin (15) has a ceramic collar (21) that is surrounded by a skirt (40) extending from the cluster block surface. The collar (21) and skirt (40) configuration more than doubles the length of the path that an arc must follow if there is arcing between pins.
Abstract:
A cluster assembly having a block and connector clips (21) disposed within passageways (20) in the block. Locking tabs (33) pivotally mounted in the block and integral therewith drop into the receptacles (22) forming part of the clips to hold the clips within the block.
Abstract:
A cluster block (10) having three receptacles (15-17) and flag-type connector clips (25) disposed in the receptacles. The clips have V-shaped shanks (27). An integral cap (11) is pivoted to the cluster block and has a tab (30) adapted to project into the V-shaped shank of at least one of the connector clips to stabilize it.
Abstract:
A connector clip (10) having a crimp section (15) whose wire-engaging surface (20, 21) is serrated to bite through the insulation on magnet wire.
