Abstract: The invention is directed to a process to separate compounds starting from a mixture of two or more compounds by performing the following steps:(a) passing a portion of a gaseous mixture of a carrier gas and the mixture of compounds through a GC column wherein two or more compounds of the mixture are discharged at a different time from the column. In a step (b) a fluid is added to the gaseous flow to obtain a flow comprising of the fluid as a gas, the carrier gas and the compounds. In a step (c) the flow of step (b) is cooled to obtain a flow comprising a gaseous phase comprising the carrier gas and a liquid phase comprising the condensed fluid and the compounds. In a step(d) the one or more liquid fractions from the flow of step (c)are isolated.
