    Abstract: Control module for a buck-boost switching converter (101), which includes an inductor (12) and a shunt resistor (14) and is coupled to a load (13) which draws a load current (I LOAD ).     Abstract: A control device (62) for a switching voltage regulator (52) configured to operate in a plurality of operating conditions and having a switching circuit (60). The control device has a first input configured to receive a measurement signal representative of an output voltage of the switching circuit; a state-determination block (89), coupled to the first input and configured to generate an actual operating condition signal (MOD, DIAG) of the switching voltage regulator; and a driving signals generation module (91, 92, 94) configured to generate at least one switching command signal for the switching circuit from an error signal representative of a difference between the output voltage and a nominal voltage.     Abstract: The control device (55) is for a switching voltage regulator (50) having a switching circuit (53). The control device receives an input voltage (V in ) and an output voltage (V out ) of the switching circuit and a measurement signal indicative of a current (I L ) of the switching circuit. The control device has: a feedback module (92) that detects an error signal (V E ) indicative of a difference between the output voltage and a nominal voltage (V ref ), and provides a control signal (I c ) as a function of the error signal; a threshold-correction module (98, 100, 102) that provides an offset signal (I bias ) and a ramp signal (I slope ); and a driving-signal generation module (94, 96, 97) coupled to the feedback module and to the threshold-correction module, which receives the measurement signal, compares the measurement signal with a threshold (I th ) and, in response, provides a modulated signal (PWM, T1, T2, T3, T4) for driving the switching circuit. The threshold is a function of the control signal, of the offset signal, and of the ramp signal. The threshold-correction module provides the offset signal as a function of the input voltage and/or of the output voltage.

The regulator has a switching circuit (53) with a first side (88) and a second side (89). The control device has: a first detector (94) of a first measurement signal (V ds ) indicative of a current (I ds ) flowing in the first side, and providing a first comparison signal (COMP_HS) as a function of a first threshold (V th,HS ); a second detector (95) of a second measurement signal (V RS ) indicative of a current (I RS ) flowing in the second side, and providing a second comparison signal (COMP_LS) as a function of a second threshold (V th,LS ); a driving-signals generation module (96) which generates a switching control signal (PWM) from the first comparison signal to drive the switching circuit; a calibration module (149) which receives an alert signal (COMP_HS, IMAX_FLAG) indicative of the first threshold (I th,HS , V th,HS ), compares the alert signal and the second comparison signal, and provides a calibration signal (CAL) in response; and a feedback module (92) which provides a control signal (I c,ds ) as a function of an error signal and of the calibration signal. The first detector modifies the first threshold from the loop control signal. The first threshold is therefore a function of the calibration signal.
