Abstract: A switching power supply includes input terminals (100a, 100b), which receive a first voltage (V AC ), and a switching converter stage (2), provided with a first switching device (8). The power supply further includes a second switching device (105), connected between the input terminals (100a, 100b) and the switching converter stage (2), and an activation device (110, 111), associated to the second switching device (105) for controlling the second switching device (105) so as to limit a second voltage (V INL ) applied to the switching converter stage (2).
