Abstract: A process of making the flexible superabsorbent binder polymer composition includes preparing a preneutralized monomer solution having at least about 40mol% degree of neutralization, preparing a monomer solution including monoethylenically unsaturated monomers, one of which includes an alkyloxysilane functionality, preparing initiator system solutions and adding the solutions to the monomer solution, mixing the foregoing solutions into a polymerization solution, cooling the polymerization solution, and post neutralizing the polymer.

Abstract: An absorbent cellulose material having an application of superabsorbent polymer adhered to the cellulose material. In particular, the cellulose material has an application of pre-superabsorbent polymer adhered to the material, wherein an aqueous solution of pre-superabsorbent polymer is appli ed to the cellulose material and converted to superabsorbent polymer upon subjected to heat for a sufficient time. The absorbent cellulose material ha s a fluid retention of greater then 2g/g.
