Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a blank to be inserted in a package for providing thermal insulation and/or shock-absorbing properties. The blank comprises a first set of panels being foldably interconnected and a second set of panels being foldably connected to preferably one of the panels, of the first set of panels. At least two of the panels of the first set of panels are foldably connected along a groove having a depth and a width. The depth of the groove is greater than the width such that, as a first panel is folded relative to a second panel a groove edge portion of the first major surface on the first panel extends into the groove and abuts a side wall of the groove formed on the second panel. The present disclosure also relates to a package having insulation and/or shock-absorbing properties and a method for providing a package.
