Abstract:
Un método para controlar un proceso de fabricación de pasta en el que las virutas de madera se transportan a un recipiente de impregnación y/o a una lejiadora donde dichas virutas de madera se tratan con un licor que contiene productos químicos, comprendiendo el método las etapas de: a. estimar el flujo másico de virutas de madera secas necesario en el recipiente de impregnación o en la lejiadora para lograr la producción de pasta deseada, flujo másico estimado que se logra dividiendo la producción de pasta deseada con un rendimiento de cocción estimado, b. medir el flujo másico real de las virutas de madera húmedas transportadas al recipiente de impregnación o a la lejiadora mediante el uso de una escala de transportador de virutas, un escáner de flujo másico o un medidor de flujo de madera radiante, c. calcular una relación entre el flujo másico real de las virutas de madera húmedas y el flujo másico estimado de las virutas de madera secas, d. controlar el proceso de fabricación de pasta basándose en dicha relación calculada.

A device for processing logs, comprises a deicing apparatus (11), a debarking apparatus (22), arranged downstream of the deicing apparatus, a thermal camera (30), arranged to acquire a thermal image of at least one log downstream of the debarking apparatus, and a processing device (40). The processing device (40) is configured to receive the thermal image from the thermal camera, to process the thermal image to determine a log surface temperature, and to provide a deicing control signal to the deicing apparatus (11) based on the log surface temperature. A method of processing logs is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a method of controlling a pulping process wherein wood chips are conveyed to an impregnation vessel and/or to a digester where said wood chips are treated with a liquor comprising chemicals. According to the method of the invention a ratio between a measured, actual mass flow of moisture wood chips to an impregnation vessel or to a digester and an estimated mass flow of dry wood chips conveyed to the impregnation vessel or to the digester is calculated. Said ratio is used to control the pulping process. The method makes it possible to control e.g. the supply of chemicals, the liquor to wood ratio and the pulping temperature on-line, in a feed-forward manner.
