Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiply paperboard for use in food or liquid packaging laminates comprising fibers obtained from used beverage cartons (UBC), said multiply paperboard comprising: a first outer ply, a second outer ply, 5 and at least one intermediate ply sandwiched between the first and second outer ply, wherein said first and second outer ply comprise less than 5 wt% fibers obtained from UBC, and wherein said intermediate ply comprises 5-70 wt% fibers obtained from UBC. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing such multiply paperboard and a food or liquid packaging laminate comprising such 10 multiply paperboard.
