Abstract:
Devices for treating uterine bleeding. An actuator is configured to receive an input to deploy an intrauterine portion of the device to assume a larger outer profile within the uterus. The actuator may be coupled to a device body and configured to receive a pull input, a push input, or a twist input. The intrauterine portion may include flexible opposing members, rotatable tines, a segmented hook, an adjustable loop, or compressible foam. The intrauterine portion defines a lumen and suction ports configured to draw suction within the uterus. Indicia may be provided on the actuator to indicate an extent by which the intrauterine portion has been deployed within the uterus. An orientation of the actuator may correspond to a direction of deployment of the intrauterine portion. The device may include valves and an auxiliary suction source configured to provide suction with the device decoupled from a vacuum source.
Abstract:
An assembly (40, 1040) for cleaning bone stock comprises a shell (250, 500, 1200, 1500) defining a void space (252, 1202) for receiving the bone stock to be cleaned, a cutter (48, 1048) rotatably mounted in the void (252, 1202) space so that, when actuated, the cutter (48, 1048) cleans the bone stock by removing soft tissue from the bone stock, and a shaving tube (270, 1270) coaxially disposed about the cutter (48, 1048) and supported by the shell (250, 500, 1200, 1500). The shaving tube is rotatably mounted in the shell (250, 500, 1200, 1500), and the cutter (48, 1048) is configured to be rotated continually while the shaving tube (270, 1270) is configured to rotate periodically.
Abstract:
An assembly for cleaning bone stock comprises a shell defining a void space for receiving the bone stock to be cleaned, a cutter disposed in said shell void space so that, when actuated, said cutter cleans the bone stock by removing soft tissue from the bone stock, a tumble plate having an upper surface, and a guide movable across said upper surface of said tumble plate between a disengaged position and an engaged position, wherein said guide is configured to move bone stock received in said void space toward said cutter when out of the disengaged position.
Abstract:
A bone stock cleaning assembly includes a shell having a base and a top located above said base so as to have between said base and said top a void space, a cutter formed with a plurality of cutting edges that is rotatably mounted to in the shell void space, a shaving tube disposed around the cutter, the shaving tube being formed to have at least one shaver edge that is located adjacent said cutting edges of the cutter, and a guide disposed in the shell void space, the guide moveable between a disengaged position and an engaged positon and said guide configured to, when moving from the disengaged position to the engaged position, move bone stock received in the void space towards the cutter. The guide is an arm disposed over the shell base that is mounted to the shell to reciprocate over the base between the disengaged and engaged positions so as to, when moving from the engaged position to the disengaged position, allow reorientation of bone stock located between the cutter and said arm and that has a containment wall that is shaped to, when said arm moves from the disengaged position to the engaged position, direct the bone stock towards the cutter and the at least one shaving edge of the shaving tube and that has a face that, when said arm is in the engaged position, presses the bone stock against the cutting edges of the cutter.
