Abstract: A vulcanized, ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer rubber composition obtained by vulcanizing an unvulcanized rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a rubber composition consisting of 0-99% by weight of an ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer rubber and 100-1% by weight of an ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer rubber containing an alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a derivative thereof; and 5-100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin, wherein an ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer rubber is at least one selected from ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymers and ethylene/ alpha -olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymers. The vulcanized, ethylene/ alpha -olefin copolymer rubber composition of the present invention has a high hardness and is excellent in weather resistance and thermal resistance as compared with natural rubbers and general-purpose rubbers.

Abstract: The present invention provides a vulcanizable rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polymer component consisting of 30 to 80 wt.% of an ethylene?.alpha.-olefin?non-conjugated diene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity of 10 to 100 (ML1+4 100.degree.C) and an iodine value of 20 to 45 and containing ethylene and .alpha.-olefin in a weight ratio of 50:50 to 90:10, and 20 to 70 wt.% of a styrene?conjugated diolefin block copolymer, 20 to 150 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler, 3 to 30 parts by weight of sulfur, 0 to 50 parts by weight of a styrene resin and 0 to 100 parts by weight of an extending oil.

Abstract: A process for producing a rubber composition comprising the first step of heat-treating at 120.degree.C or more a mixture comprising of 100 parts by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber, 0.5-5 parts by weight of at least one dinitrodiamine and at least one radical generating agent to obtain a heat-treated mixture, the second step of adding a filler to the heat-treated mixture and kneading them to obtain a rubber mixture and the third step of compounding a crosslinking agent with the rubber mixture obtained in the second step at 100.degree.C or less to obtain a rubber composition. According to said process, an ethylene .alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber composition which is excellent in heat resistance and durability is obtained.

Abstract: A cushion material consisting of a composite material of a water-swellable high molecular material and a high molecular material of the non-hydrolyzing-type crosslinked structure, becomes more than three times to less than 15 times larger in volume when swollen with water, and has excellent pressure dispersibility and excellent durability. Further, a cushion product is obtained by wrapping the cushion material with a water-impermeable material. More preferably, the high molecular material consists of a rubber material which has a breaking strength of 8 kgf/cm or greater and an elongation at breakage of 500% or more. After crosslinked, the high molecular material exhibits the stress at 300% elongation of 5 kgf/cm or smaller.

Abstract: In a process of crosslinking a rubber compound with the usage of an organic peroxide as the crosslinking agent, is incorporated to the rubber compound in an amount of 0.5 - 20 parts by weight per 100 parts of a rubber substrate a compound selected from imidazole type compounds, thiourea type compounds, thiazole type compounds, thiuram type compounds, dithiocarbamate type compounds, phenol type compounds, triazole type compounds and amine type compounds. The process results no surface tackiness of the rubber product crosslinked in the presence of oxygen.
