    Abstract: A process for producing woven or knitted fabrics having an improved fastness, high qualities, and the width as large as 150 cm from yarn-dyed raw silk while evading possible occurrence of defects caused by piece dyeing, such as shading, friction marks, creases or bending. The process comprises the step (3) of union dyeing of sericin which surrounds the silk and fibroin which is contained within the silk, the steps (4 and 5) of preparing yarn-dyed raw silk by doubling the dyed silk fibers followed by twisting, the step (6) of producing fabric by weaving or knitting the yarn-dyed raw silk, the step (7) of swelling the raw silk constituting the fabric in a hot-water bath, and the step (8) of enzymatic degumming by treating the fabric with an enzyme capable of hydrolyzing the sericin of the swollen yarn-dyed raw silk.

    Abstract: There is provided a process for manufacturing woven or knitted fabrics comprising modifying the woven or knitted fabrics by applying a skeleton triazine cross-linking reaction using a sericin fixing method of raw silk to enhance its shrink and crease resistance and shape stability and thereafter removing the sericin using a special scouring. The process for manufacturing a woven or knitted fabric, comprises the steps of finishing and treating raw silk and/or cellulose fibers by using a silk sericin fixing method; doubling and twisting thus finished/treated raw silk and/or cellulose fibers; weaving or knitting the doubled and twisted yarns; swelling the woven or knitted fabric forming a cloth by dipping it in a bath; and, scouring the woven or knitted fabric swelled in the bath with an enzyme whereby the woven or knitted fabric is provided with shrink and crease resistance and shape stability.

    Abstract: Reforming of woven/knitted fabrics is effected by applying a skeletal triazine cross-linking reaction by using a sericin fixation method of raw silk so as to improve shrinkage resistance, crease resistance and shape stability, and then sericin is removed by specific refining to obtain woven/knitted fabrics. A production method of woven/knitted fabrics comprises a step of processing and treating raw silk and/or cellulose fiber by using a sericin fixation method of raw silk, a step of doubling and twisting the raw silk and/or cellulose fiber so processed and treated by the sericin fixation method, a weaving and knitting step using the yarns so doubled and twisted, a swelling step of immersing the fabric into a tank to swell the woven/knitted fabric constituting a piece of cloth and a step of effecting enzymic refining for the woven/knitted fabric swelled inside the tank, and this method imparts shrinkage resistance, crease resistance and shape stability to the knitted/woven fabric.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve various characteristics of wool, i.e., shrink-resistance, form stability and washable properties by, for the first time, applying a method to wool for constructing a skeleton triazine with amino groups in wool and cyanuric chloride or its derivative (including a cyanurate) after removing scales causing for shrinking and felting of wool. SOLUTION: This method for producing washable wool excellent in shrink- resistance and form stability is to remove protein chains constituting scales from the wool in a state of fiber, fiber bundle, thread or cloth, subsequently soak the wool in a dyeing tank including cyanuric chloride or its derivative in neutral or weak alkaline water, constitute a skeleton triazine by reaction expressed by equation I between amino groups in the wool and cyanuric chloride or its derivative and obtain washable wool excellent in shrink-resistance and form stability.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high quality fabric improved in fastness and having 150 cm width while removing the possibility of causing defects such as mottled appearance, friction, wrinkle, crease, or the like due to piece dyeing. SOLUTION: When producing fabric using top dyed raw silk, the method of this invention is as follows: (1) making top dyed, sericin-fixed raw silk by dyeing both sericin and fibroin so as to have the same color after or with the fixation of sheath- like sericin into fibroin using a sericin fixation method before or after yarn doubling and before or after twining, where the fibroin is the core of silk fiber and is covered with sericin; (2) making fabric by weaving or knitting the top dyed, sericin-fixed raw silk; and (3) piece-degumming the fabric where the sericin of the top dyed, sericin- fixed raw silk is removed by degumming. The piece degumming process comprises (3') swelling the top dyed, sericin-fixed raw silk in the fabric by soaking the fabric into a hot water bath, (3") enzymatic-degumming by treating the fabric with enzyme in hot water bath to decompose sericin of the top dyed, sericin-fixed raw silk and making the fabric virtually made of fibroin alone.
