Abstract: This redox flow battery electrode is constituted from a composite body of a base material containing carbon. The base material has a plurality of pores, each extending from the surface to the interior, with a portion of the trajectory along the extending direction thereof present within a reference circle, where the reference circle is defined as a circle centered on the center of gravity of the base material and having a diameter that is 95% of the diameter corresponding to a circle having a surface area equivalent to that of the base material.
