    Abstract: A sliding part has a sliding part body, a first member made of ceramics, and a second member of a metal subjected to hardening treatment. In a production method, the first member is joined to a sliding part body by heating at a temperature of 650 DEG C or higher, and the second member made of a metal is attached to the body at a temperature lower than 650 DEG C by means which does not impair an effect of the hardening treatment. The second member has an HRC hardness of 45 or higher.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a sliding part having a crowning configuration by effecting surface hardening at a portion constituted by steel and a method for manufacturing the same part.     Abstract: Disclosed is a manufacturing method for a wire harness having a shape-retaining member and protector comprising a thermoplastic material, said manufacturing method enabling the easy formation of the axial shape of the shape-retaining member and protector into a predetermined shape during manufacture. The manufacturing method has: a first step, in which the periphery of an electrical wire is coated by a body (13) to be molded comprising a thermoplastic material, and in which the body (13) to be molded is formed into a predetermined cross-sectional shape and dimensions by applying pressure thereto while heating the body (13) to be molded at a temperature at which plastic deformation is possible because of the thermoplasticity; and a second step, after the first step, in which the body (13) to be molded is formed into a predetermined axial shape while at the temperature at which plastic deformation is possible because of the thermoplasticity, and is cooled after being formed into the predetermined axial shape. In the second step, the shape-retaining member (12) obtained through the first step is inlaid in a molding section (721) formed in a lower mold (72) of a second molding body (7), forming the axial shape of the shape-retaining member (12), which is then cooled.

    Abstract: Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt als Aufgabe zugrunde, ein elektrisch leitfähiges Flächengebilde (1) mit Beschlag zu realisieren, das ein elektrisch leitfähiges Flächengebildematerial (2) und einen Verbindungsbeschlag (3) zum elektrischen Verbinden des Flächengebildematerials (2) und eines weiteren Elements aufweist, wobei auf einfache Weise sowohl ein niedriger Verbindungswiderstand als auch eine hohe Befestigungsstärke erzielt werden. Der Verbindungsbeschlag (3) weist einen Quetschabschnitt (31) auf, der auf einen Randabschnitt des elektrisch leitfähigen Flächengebildematerials (2) gequetscht ist. Der Quetschabschnitt (31) weist ein Paar plattenförmiger Halteabschnitte (311, 312), zwischen denen der Randabschnitt des Flächengebildematerials eingebettet ist, sowie einen zurückgefalteten Abschnitt (313) auf, der diese verbindet.     Abstract: Provided are a wire harness and the external sheathing thereof, having good cable routing workability, and allowing the reducing of types of materials of members that are attached to electrical wires or electrical wire bundles (allowing using common materials for members). Provided is an external sheathing (11a) that is disposed such that a prescribed portion of an electrical wire (12) or an electrical wire (12) bundle are covered, wherein the external sheathing (11a) comprises portions of respectively varying rigidity: a first portion (111a) that is relatively rigid; a second portion (112a) that is relatively flexible; and a third portion (113a) having an intermediate rigidity between that of the first portion (111a) and the second portion (112a). The first portion is formed on the obverse face of the external sheathing and functions as a shape sustaining member and protector. The second portion (112a) and the third portion (113a) surround the prescribed portion of the electrical wire (12) or the electrical wire (12) bundle, and function as shock absorbers and sound muffling and silencing materials. The first portion (111a), the second portion (112a), and the third portion (113a) are integrally formed from a non-woven fabric (2) having thermoplasticity.

    Abstract: ÄPurposeÜ To provide sliding components each comprising a base metal and, joined thereto, a sliding face member having a sliding face of crowning profile, in particular, sliding components such as valve train parts, a cam follower and a rocker arm of an automobile engine. ÄConstitutionÜ A sliding component having a structure comprising (1) a ceramic forming a sliding face and (2) a base metal joined together, in which the extent of crowning of the sliding face is at least 0.1 to 0.4% of the maximum length of the junction face of the ceramic. The ceramic has a four-point flexural strength of at least 500 MPa as measured in accordance with the Japanese Industrial Standard R1601. The base metal is mainly steel at least the surface of which has preferably a martensite texture and has a hardness of higher than 45 in terms of HRC. The structure may have an intermediate layer of a metal or cermet. In one mode the junction of the sliding face member such as a ceramic of crowning profile is simultaneously carried out with the formation of the base metal part and in another mode the sliding face of the base metal is hardened by the heating after the junction. ÄEffectÜ A sliding component whose extent of crowning is great can be provided at a lowered cost without suffering from defects such as cracking.
