Abstract: A lubricating coating which is free from harmful heavy metals is formed on a premium threaded joint for pipes constituted by a pin and a box each having a contact surface comprising a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal contact portion (a sealing surface and shoulder) in order to provide the joint with galling resistance, gas-tightness, and anticorrosive properties such that the unthreaded metal contact portion is prevented from yielding even when the joint is made up with a high torque. The lubricating coating comprises one or both of a rosin and calcium fluoride; metal soap; wax; and a basic metal salt of an aromatic organic acid, and preferably it further includes a lubricating powder, magnesium carbonate, and/or a carbohydrate, particularly a cyclodextrin.

Abstract: A protector configured in such a manner that, when mounted to a pin or a box of a threaded joint for a pipe with at least one of the pin or the box lubricated with a solid lubricating coating, the protector prevents damage to the solid lubricating coating on a screw thread section of the threaded joint. The protector is a tubular body provided with a screw thread section formed on the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface of the tubular body. The screw thread section of the protector engages with at least a part of a screw thread section provided to the pin or the box to be protected, and preferably the screw thread section of the protector engages with three to five perfect screw threads. The height (H1) of the screw thread section of the protector and the height (H2) of the perfect screw thread of the pin or the box to which the protector is mounted satisfy the relationship of H1 > H2, and the difference between H1 and H2 (= H1 - H2) is greater than the maximum thickness, measured at the screw thread crest, of the solid lubricating coating which covers the screw thread section of the pin or the box.

Una unión roscada puede ser conectada y desconectada por medio de una primer y segunda mordaza 5 y 6 que giran al segundo tubo de acero P2 con respecto al primer tubo de acero P1. Un estabilizador 7 montado en el miembro de soporte 3 puede limitar el radio de giro del segundo tubo de acero P2.
