    Abstract: A refining segment for a disc refiner fox defibering and processing lignocellulose-containing fiber material. The refining segment has the shape of a circle sector and a refining surface with bars and intermediate grooves, which extend across substantially the entire refining surface. The bars are oblique in relation to the radius of the refining segment, and the angle of the bars in relation to said radius is greatest closest to the centre and thereafter decreases in radial outward direction. The angle closest to the centre shall be in the interval 20-45.degree. and farthest out in the interval -10.degree. to +20.degree..

    Abstract: A feeding device intended for refiners with two opposed refining means (11, 12), of which one is stationary and one rotary. The refining means are provided with refining elements (14, 15), that between themselves form a refining gap (17) with a refining zone (16) for working lignocellulosic fibrous material. The feeding device (22) comprises a circular disk (23) with at least one strip (24), which extends from a position close to the centre of the disk radially outward to the circumference of the disk. This strip (24) along the greater portion of its upper edge is provided with a roof (25) projecting out symmetrically on both sides of the strip. The feeding device (22) is intended to be placed centrally on the rotary refining means (12) with the strip (24) facing to a central material feed opening (19) in the stationary refining means (11).

    Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for refining lignocellulosic material including a pair of refining elements facing each other for relative rotation to refine the lignocellulosic material passing through the refining gap between the refining elements. The refining elements include rows of projecting working pins with substantially circular cross-sections and strips projecting above the refining element surface and extending substantially circumferentially along the refining surfaces. The rows of projecting working pins are disposed at selected radial positions on the two refining surfaces so that they avoid contact with each other during relative rotation of the two refining surfaces.
