Abstract: An electronic apparatus and an ultraviolet avoidance information providing method are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a display; a biometric information acquisition module that acquires biometric information of a user; a location information acquisition module that acquires location information of a particular location; an ultraviolet intensity information acquisition module that acquires ultraviolet intensity information corresponding to the acquired location information; and a processor that controls the display to display ultraviolet avoidance information for avoiding ultraviolet light at the particular location based on the acquired biometric information and the acquired ultraviolet intensity information.

Abstract: An electronic device and method that detects an event related to the user's skin and performs a function corresponding to the event by using information on the skin color type of the user, and further provides a control method thereof. The occurrence of an event is detected that is related to at least a part of a user's body. Information regarding a light is obtained a sensor module that is functionally connected with the electronic device according to the detection result. A function is performed that corresponds to the detected event by using information corresponding to the obtained information on a light from among type information stored in a memory.
