    Abstract: An electronic device for providing a video call function, and a control method therefor are provided. The present electronic device comprises: a projection unit; a camera; a sensor for obtaining information about the distance to an external object; a memory for storing at least one instruction; and at least one processor which is connected to the projection unit, the camera, the sensor and the memory, and which is for controlling the electronic device. The at least one processor executes the at least one instruction so that, if a video call function is executed, a user is captured through the camera, and thus first user video is obtained. The at least one processor calculates a horizontal correction angle and a vertical correction angle on the basis of the first user video, the rotational angle of the camera, the projection angle of the projection unit, and a sensing value obtained through the sensor. The at least one processor obtains frontal video of the user on the basis of the first user video, the horizontal correction angle, and the vertical correction angle. The at least one processor controls the projection unit so that a video call screen including the obtained frontal video of the user is projected.
