Abstract: An electronic device is provided, which includes a first communication circuit supporting a neighbor awareness networking (NAN) protocol; a second communication circuit configured to support a second protocol different from the NAN protocol; a memory; and a processor operatively connected to the first communication circuit, the second communication circuit, and the memory. The processor is configured to activate the NAN protocol supported by the first communication circuit, receive data from at least one external electronic device during a discovery window (DW) interval synchronized in a cluster via the first communication circuit, identify whether identification information of the at least one external electronic device having transmitted the data is stored in the memory, if the identification information of the at least one external electronic device is stored in the memory, store, in the memory, information that is obtained by matching at least a part of the received data with the identification information, and if a request for performing a service is received, display information of the at least one external electronic device configured to perform the service, based on the information stored in the memory.

Abstract: An electronic device according to one embodiment further comprises a first communication circuit for supporting an ultra wide-band (UWB) communication scheme; a second communication circuit for supporting a Wi-Fi communication scheme; and a processor operably connected to the first communication circuit and the second communication circuit, wherein: the second communication circuit generates, when operation time information and channel information about the first communication circuit are acquired from the processor and/or the first communication circuit, a signal for stopping Wi-Fi communication of the second communication circuit on the basis of the operation time information about the first communication circuit, transmits, to at least one external device, a signal for stopping Wi-Fi communication through at least one channel of the second communication circuit that overlaps on a channel of the first communication circuit on the basis of the channel information, and stops the transmission/reception of a Wi-Fi signal on the basis of the operation time information about the first communication circuit; and the first communication circuit and transmit a UWB signal to a first external device of one external device on the basis of the operation time information about the first communication circuit, while the second communication circuit stops the transmission/reception of the Wi-Fi signal. Other various embodiments are possible.

The electronic device includes: a communication circuit configured to transmit and/or receive a plurality of packets to an external electronic device; and a processor, wherein the processor may determine whether to operate in a time average specific absorption rate (TAS) mode of the communication circuit upon detecting that an external object is in contact with or in proximity to the electronic device, and increase a latency between at least some packets of the plurality of packets based on a value associated with quality of a signal transmitted by the external electronic device satisfying a specified condition while the communication circuit is operating in the TAS mode, and wherein the processor may be configured to control the communication circuit to increase a strength of a signal that includes a plurality of packets having the increased latency.
