A display apparatus having a uniformity adjustment function is provided, which includes a display unit which is divided into a plurality of local areas; a signal receiver which receives from a sensor light intensity data of each local area of the display unit; and a controller which analyzes the plurality of local areas for non-uniformity correction by comparing a first light intensity data of a current local area with second light intensity data of local areas which have been previously analyzed for the non-uniformity correction, and uses calibration information of a previously analyzed local area if its second light intensity data is within an error range of the first light intensity data, and performs a calibration process with respect to the current local area if there is no result within the error range, and outputs an image signal to the display unit.

An image processing apparatus, colour calibration method, and a colour calibration system are provided. The colour calibration system includes an image processing apparatus and a display apparatus, wherein the image processing apparatus comprises a graphic card unit which outputs a graphic image and first colour patch information for colour calibration of the display apparatus; a colour calibration unit which receives the output graphic image and first colour patch information from the graphic card unit, generates second colour patch information based on the first colour patch information and stored internal colour patch information to display a colour patch in an additional layer separately from the graphic image, and transmits the graphic image and the second colour patch information to the display apparatus; and a first control unit which controls the colour calibration unit to perform colour calibration process according to a colour calibration feedback signal transmitted by the display apparatus; the display apparatus comprises a display unit; a detection unit which detects a colour of a colour patch displayed on the display unit; and a second control unit which controls the display unit to display thereon the colour patch generated on the basis of the second colour patch information and the received graphic image and transmits a colour calibration feedback signal to the image processing apparatus according to a detection result of the detection unit.

An image processing method and a display apparatus using the same are provided. The image processing method includes: selecting a first pixel of an inputted image as a pixel for processing; selecting a second pixel from among pixels in proximity to the first pixel; and performing a brush effect processing with respect to the first pixel using image data that is selected in accordance with whether the first and the second pixels belong to a same area. As a result, the display apparatus provides a maximized brush effect.

Accordingly, dithering is performed using related masks, thus preventing poor gradation of video signal.
