Abstract: A device for generating a droplet array, which comprises a substrate, a roller on the substrate, and a microgrooved chip on the outer surface of the roller, wherein a sealant is on a surface of the substrate close to the roller and the microgrooved chip comprises a chip body fitted to the roller and an array of microgrooves arranged on the chip body, the array of microgrooves consisting of a plurality of microgrooves arranged at intervals on the chip body. When the roller rolls, liquid between the substrate and the roller enters the microgrooves and forms droplets while the microgrooved chip detaches from the roller and combines with the sealant which seals the microgrooves, generating a droplet array. The device generates a droplet array having uniform droplet size, good repeatability. Further, the method is simple and highly efficient, and has broad application prospects in the fields of medicine and biology.

Abstract: A method for preparing a flexible electrode is provided. The method comprises sequentially forming a flexible base layer and an intermediate conductive layer on a carrier plate; treating an elastomeric template having an electrode pattern with an acid, followed by transferring and printing the electrode pattern onto the intermediate conductive layer to form an electrode inducing layer; forming a titanium dioxide-polydopamine composite layer in a gap of the electrode inducing layer; forming a platinum electrode layer on the titanium dioxide-polydopamine composite layer; removing the carrier plate. The invention solves the problems of slow formation of a polydopamine film and slow formation of a platinum electrode layer. A flexible electrode is further provided.

The composite array electrode comprises a microelectrode array substrate, and a modification layer formed on a surface of a microelectrode of the microelectrode array substrate, wherein the modification layer comprises a plurality of electrically conductive layers arranged at intervals on the surface of the microelectrode, an insulating layer arranged on the surface of the microelectrode except the electrically conductive layers, and wherein material for the electrically conductive layers comprises one or more of nano platinum, nano iridium, conductive polymer and carbon nanotubes. The composite array electrode effectively eliminates the influence of edge effect such that the electric field distributes uniformly on the microelectrode surface of the composite array electrode, significantly improving electrochemical performance and detection capability of the electrode.

Abstract: The present invention provides a microelectrode, comprising a flexible layer, an electrically conductive layer and a plurality of platinum dendrite structures, wherein the electrically conductive layer is arranged in the flexible layer, and wherein on the surface of the flexible layer are a plurality of grooves within which the electrically conductive layer is revealed partially, and wherein each of the groove is provided with one platinum dendrite structure therein. The plurality of grooves serve as focal electrodes distributed uniformly, with smaller electrode sites and more recording points. The modified platinum dendrite structures increase the surface area, electrical performance, biocompatibility and service life of the microelectrode. Besides, creating virtual electrodes by current steering technique increases the number of stimuli received by microelectrode during use, and improves its resolution in applications.
