Abstract:
A video stream composed of combined video frames, and methods and systems for its generation, transmission, reception and reproduction are described; the video frames have a first resolution and comprise in their entirety two contents usable through extraction from the aforesaid video frame: a first content belonging to a video stream (F1) at a second resolution lower than the first resolution of the frame; and, in the area of the frame formed by the remaining pixels, at least a second content belonging to an information stream (F2) having, in the case where it is also a video stream, a resolution equal to or less than the second resolution, where during the fruition of one of the two video streams it is shown full-screen in its entirety, or in the case of a data information stream, data encoded via a set of pixels, the number of which is less than or equal to the number of pixels left free by the first video stream. The video frames are suitable for making, by means of a temporal sequence, a video stream comprising at least two information streams, one constituted by the video stream (F1) and the other constituted by the information stream (F2) with content independent of the previous video stream (F1).

A cooperative localisation process is described for determining the absolute position of an apparatus to be localized, comprising a plurality of cooperating apparatuses able to cooperate, through the exchange of messages and data, in the localisation of said apparatus to be localized. The cooperating apparatuses are equipped with at least one direct, apparatus - to - apparatus radio transmission and reception system for messages and data, and means for estimating the distance between apparata of said set of cooperating apparatuses. The cooperating localisation apparatuses able to implement this process are also described.

The invention relates to a method for acquiring and storing data relating to video streams (Fi) selectable on a video processing apparatus (300) adapted to select a video stream reproducible on an associated reproduction device (5), said method comprising the steps of: identifying the source of the video stream by means of identification data, said video stream having a coding and transport configuration adapted to produce a three-dimensional display, verifying if, for the identified video stream, any data relating to the coding and transport configuration of said video stream have been stored by said video processing apparatus (300) i n storage means ( 12) of said video processing apparatus (300) comprising associations between video stream identification data arid video stream coding and transport configurations; in the affirmative case, acquiring from said storage means (12) the coding and transport configuration associated with the video stream identified by said identification data, and using the data relating to the acquired coding and transport configuration for a following selection of said video stream in order to reproduce the selected video stream on an associated video reproduction device (5).
