SOLUTION: In a preset method of the remote controller, the preset data are created by a personal computer 50, transferred to a RAM 25 of the remote controller 10, key mark layout image data of the remote controller 10 is created by the personal computer 50, corresponding key mark layout images are printed on a name plate 35 and the nameplate 35 is fixed to a key operation part 31 of the remote controller 10. Usability of the remote controller 10 is enhanced at low cost using a general-purpose personal computer 50.
