    Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement in the accuracy and stability of servo control for playback head by applying AGC to the reproduction signal and so arranging the apparatus that this AGC does not respond to the vibration frequency of the playback head. CONSTITUTION:The detection signal Sd showing a level of an FM signal Sf from a detection circuit 24 is supplied to a BPF 27 to be removed of the component of the frequency omega of the vibrations of a playback head, whereby it is made to the signal Sb which has only the level change caused by the contact vibrations with heads 1A, 1B and tape 7. This signal is supplied as its gain control signal to an amplifier 21. Hence, AGC is applied to the signal Sf from the amplifier 21 by the signal Sb, thus the signal Sf contains no more level variations owing to the contact state of the heads and tape. However, the component of the frequency omega is not included in the signal Sb and therefore the signal from the amplifier 21 is changed only of its level by the vibrations of the heads 1A, 1B. Thereby the accuracy and stability of the servo control may be improved.

CONSTITUTION:The fitting position of heads HV1, HV2 is adjusted so that the heads HV1, HV2 do not bridge over three audio tracks TA1, TA2 at reproduction. For example, when the heads HV1, HV2 are placed to the midpoint of the audio tracks TA1, TA2, the heads HV1, HV2 do not override the three audio tracks TA1, TA2 even if there exists variation of the fitting height of the heads HA1, HA2 and the heads HV1, HV2 and deficiency of tracking stability, defect of interchangeability at reproduction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent disturbance of horizontal synchronization in the cue or review reproducing time of a helical scan-type VTR, by using a prescribed rotation control signal. CONSTITUTION:In the cue reproducing time, CTL (control) pulses of a frequency corresponding to the tape running speed are supplied to control voltage supply circuit 22, and DC voltage corresponding to the tape running speed is obtained from the output. This output is supplied to the inversion terminal of operational amplifier 16. Meanwhile, a speed error signal is applied from speed servo circuit 8 to the noninversion terminal of amplifier 16. Consequently, if drum motor 3 is controlled through motor driving circuit 21 by the output of amplifier 16, stable rotation corresponding to the tape running speed can be obtained. In the review reproducing time, CTL pulses are supplied to control voltage supply circuit 23, and motor 3 is controlled similarly. Thus, disturbance of horizontal synchronization in the cue and review reproducing time can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to reproduce an adequate color screen even in special reproduction mode while reproducing a color screen with no color jitters in normal reproduction mode, by providing a gate circuit, system control circuit, and divider. CONSTITUTION:In normal reproduction mode, chrominance signal Sc and signal Ss1 are supplied to gate circuit 91 and signal S73 from FF circuit 73 is supplied to multivibrator 82. Pulse P83 generated in every 2nd frame is supplied to gate circuit 91 and signal Ss1 is extracted in every frame. Next, a control signal from system control circuit 100 places gate circuit 92 in a passing state. Therefore, signal Ss1 is supplied as a control signal to divider circuit 74 and signal S74 is prescribed, causing no jitters on a reproduced screen. In special reproduction mode, a control signal from control circuit 100 places gate circuit 92 in a cut-off state, and consequently signal Ss1 is not obtained from gate circuit 92 while the phase of signal S74 is not prescribed, so that special reproduction can be carried out adequately.

CONSTITUTION:When gaps of head A' are denoted as A1' and A2' and gaps of head A'' are denoted as A1'' and A2'', A1' and A2' are separated from each other by 3/2H, and A1'' and A2'' are separated from the diameter extension point of A1' by 3/4H respectively, and A1'' and A2'' are positioned in the upper side and the lower side in respect to the drum rotation direction respectively.When this double-gap head constitution is used to perform still reproducing, A1' performs the reproducing of 262.5+0.75+3/4=264H when the reproducing of A1' is continued until A1' reaches the position of A2''. Similarly, gaps are switched in oredr of A1'', A2' and A2'' ty two frames, so that all of the number of Hs in every field may become an integer, and phenomena of skew and crack can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the linearity of I/O characteristics by connecting a low pass filter to the back stage of a non-linear extending circuit in a reproducing system. CONSTITUTION:When a sine wave-like signal S2 (Fig. A) is applied to a non- linear compressing circuit 14, a signal S4 (Fig. C) approximating to the sine wave-like signal is applied to the reproducing system as compared to an output signal S3 (Fig. B) in a recording system. The signal S4 is extended by the non- linear extending circuit 24, an extended signal S5 (Fig. D) having a mustache SP is applied to the low pass filter 30 and suppressed at the gain of the mustache SP by the low pass filter and a signal S7 having almost the same form as the input signal S2 to the compressing circuit 14 is applied to a deemphasis circuit 23. Then a reproduced video signal is successively processed through the deemphasis circuits 23, 22, a non-linear extending circuit 21 and a deemphasis circuit 20 in the reverse order against the processing of the recording system and a signal S6 having the same form as an input video signal S1 to the recording system is sent from the reproducing system. Thus, the linearity of the I/O characteristics can be obtained economically with a simple constitution.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform recording with an optimum recording current and a simple constitution by estimating the friction state of a head to correct the recording current of the head after detecting the impedance of another head having the same friction state as said first head. CONSTITUTION:The video signals supplied to an input terminal 1 are applied to rotary recording heads HV1 and HV2 via a recording circuit 2, switches 3 and 4, a recording amplifier 5 and a rotary transformer 8 and then recorded on a tape T. While the audio signals supplied to an input terminal 9 are applied to rotary recording heads HA1 and HA2 via a recording circuit 10, a recording amplifier 11 and a rotary transformer 12 respectively and recorded on the tape T. At the same time, the output signal of the amplifier 11 is supplied to comparators 15 and 16 via a clampling circuit 13 and a peak detecting circuit 14 and then compared with reference voltages V1 and V2 (V1 > V2) given from a voltage dividing circuit 17. When the output signal of the amplifier 11 is less than V1 and V2 owing to the wear, switches 3 and 4 are turned off. Then the recording is carried out via resistances 6 and 7 and with an optimum current.

Further, the recording media is stopped or moved with double speed, and also the voltage varying with saw tooth wave is fed to the bimorph plate 61 in the field period. Thus, the recording and reproduction of high density for the video signal can be made.
