Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the setting of reserved picture recording with a simple operation in a timer for reserving picture recording of a video tape recorder by totaling the numerical values corresponding the days of the week, the time for starting and recording time and using the same as a program code. CONSTITUTION:The reserved and recorded program code from a memory 11 is supplied to a divider 13, where the code is divided by the 1st constant from a numerical value setting circuit 14. The quotient of the division is supplied through a day detection circuit 15 to a comparator 16. The remainder from the divider 13 is supplied to a divider 17, where the same is divided by the 2nd constant from a numerical value setting circuit 18. The quotient of the division is supplied to a divider 19, where the same is divided by ''60'' from a numerical value setting circuit 20. The quotient and remainder thereof are supplied to the input for the hour and minute of the starting time of a comparator 16. The remainder from the divider 17 is further supplied to a divider 21, where the same is divided by ''60'' from a numerical value setting circuit 22. The quotient and remainder thereof are supplied to an adder 23, where the same are time-added to the hour and minute from the divider 19. The added numerical value is supplied to the input for the hour and minute of the end time of the comparator 16.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce an audio signal having high quality, no impulsive noise and excellent fidelity by demodulating FM-modulated reproduction outputs obtained from two reproducing rotary magnetic heads alternately into reproduced audio signals to concatenat the signals. CONSTITUTION:Reproducing magnetic heads 31 and 32 scan on slanting adjacent tracks t1 and t2 of a magnetic tape T alternately accompanied with overlap time. The head 31 generates the reproduction output of the 1st mixture output M1, and the head 32 generates the reproduction output of the 2nd mixture output M2. Those outputs are supplied to a video signal processing part 35 through amplifiers 33 and 34. At the same time, those outputs are supplied to FM demodulators 44-47 through band-pass filters 36-39 and amplitude limiting circuits 40-43, so that a reproduced left signal SL and a right signal SR are obtained alternately accompanied with a overlapping. The signals are passed through low-pass filters 48-51 to concatenate within the overlap time by switching circuits 53 and 54. Consequently, no impulsive noise is generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure the interchangeability between magnetic recording/reproducing devices of different mechanical systems by producing the artificial noise in response to the characteristics of the mechanical system by means of noise generating means and superposing these noises on the recording signals to obtain an ideal pattern which is not affected by said mechanical characteristics for tracks on a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:When a standard tape is reproduced, the artificial noise signal is added to the reproduction signal sent from an FM demodulator 48 by an adder 50 in order to offset the mechanical noise of a magnetic recording/reproducing device. Therefore a sound signal containing no said mechanical noise is obtained from an output terminal 58. When the sound signal is recorded, the artificial noise signal is subtracted from the output signal of a noise reduction circuit 28. The recording wavelength which is recorded to a magnetic tape 42 are corrected to be even over the entire part of a track. Thus the recording wavelength is equal at any position of a track regardless of the presence of mechanical noises. As a result, the sound signal reproduced by this new device having a correcting circuit has no said mechanical noise as long as the using tape has the normal recording wavelength including a standard tape.

CONSTITUTION:Whether the magnetic tape used for reproduction in a control part 84 is an ordinary magnetic tape or a metallic tape is detected mechanically, electrically and magnetically respectively by providing a difference in the presence or absence for preventing accidental erasing, a difference in the presence or absence of a hole or seal, and a difference in the presence or absence of a magnetic piece according to the mode of a cassete containing the magnetic tape. If the magnetic tape used for reproduction is a metallic tape, a control signal Q is generated and is supplied to a video signal reproduction system 40, and is further supplied to an audio signal reproduction system as well, whereby the video signal and the audio signal are reproduced. Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of quality of the sound signal to be recorded, by giving a high speed enough to record the video signal to the relative speed between a magnetic head and a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The left sound signals LF1 and LF2 and right sound signals RF3 and RF4 which are FM modulated 6, 7, 11 and 12 through RPF13 and 14- 16 are distributed to the frequency band between the frequency band of the carrier chrominance signal C and the frequency of the FM modulated luminance signal Lm, which is higher than the signal C. The level of each of these sound signals is set lower than those of the signals C and Lm. At the same time, the levels of those at the low band side are set lower than those at the high band side among the signals LF1, LF2, RF3 and RF4. Then the signals C, Lm, LF1, LF2, RF3 and RF4 are recorded on a magnetic tape by recording heads 28 and 30 after forming a common recording track.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce cross talk of an FM-modulated sound signal by preventing a coincidence in the frequency transition band of the FM-modulated sound signal and a coincidence in adjacent carrier frequency on slanting track formed by two rotary magnetic heads. CONSTITUTION:Left and right sound signals SL and SR are inputted to FM modulators 6 and 7, and 11 and 12 through amplifying circuits 3 and 8, noise reducing circuits 4 and 9, and pre-enhancing circuits 5 and 10. Then, FM signals LF1-LF4 which have different frequency shift bands and frequencies increasing gradually are passed through band-pass filters 13-16 to input a couple of signals to mixing circuits 19 and 20 through mixing and amplifying circuits 17 and 18 alternately, thereby mixing a chrominance signal from a terminal 21 with an FM-modulated luminance signal from a terminal 22. Mixture outputs M1 and M2 are sent through recording and amplifying circuits 23 and 25 to rotary magnetic heads to form slanting tracks at different azimuth angles. Thus, sound signals of plural channels are separated excellently to reduce cross talk between adjacent tracks.
