Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect accurately a beam current by providing a current supply circuit to the current side of a cathode of a cathode-ray tube and a current lead-in circuit to the ground side so as to subtracts a current applied from the current supply circuit from the current of the current lead-in circuit. CONSTITUTION:A drive circuit of the cathode of the cathode-ray tube 1 is divided into two systems; one is the current supply circuit 3a supplying current only and the current lead-in circuit 3b leading in the current only. When a high frequency signal is inputted as the signal, charge/discharge is applied to a parasitic capacitance 10. A charging current Ic to the parasitic capacitance 10 is supplied from the current supply circuit 3a. The addition of a current Ic from the parasitic capacitance 10 to a beam current Ib is led to the current lead-in circuit 3b. Thus, the beam current Ib is detected by subtracting the current Ic applied from the current supply circuit 3a from the current (Ib+Ic) lead-in to the current lead- in circuit 3b.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a reproducing picture with high luminance and high resolution by making a read speed of a frame memory from a deflection speed of a cathode ray tube in response to the after glow characteristic of plural cathode ray tubes so as to decrease the beam spot size.
CONSTITUTION: A video signal Sv obtained from a detection circuit 10 is subject to A/D conversion and fed to a matrix circuit 13. Each primary color signal of red/green/blue is obtained fromthe matrix circuit 13 and fed to frame memories 15R, 15G, 15B being components of the converting circuit respectively. The signal from the frame memories 15R, 15G, 15B is read based on the output from control circuits 21R, 21G, 21B and the primary color signals of red/green/blue is read respectively in four multiple speed from the memory 15r, in a double speed from the memory 15G and in eight-time speed from the memory 15B. The primary color signals are subject to D/A conversion and fed to cathode ray tubes 6R, 6G and 6B and also the deflection speed of each cathode ray tube is controlled in response to the said read speed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of a front frequency divider by inserting a filter, which attenuates a higher-harmonic component contained in a local oscillation output, between the amplitude-limiting amplifier and front frequency divider of a PLL frequency synthesizer channel-selecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A power-source switching circuit 4 is controlled by an U/V switching control signal from a channel-selecting operation part 3 to put an UHF local oscillator 1 or a VHF local oscillator 2 in operation, and its output is inputted to an amplitude-limiting amplifier 7 through a filter 5 or 6. A signal processed through the amplitude-limitation of the amplifier is removed from higher harmonic through a higer-harmonic removing filter 13 and inputted to a front frequency divider 8. A signal whose frequency is divided by N by the frequency divider 8 is further divided by a variable frequency divider 9 at a frequency-division ratio 1/n which corresponds to the channel selection signal T of the channel-selecting operation part 3, and its output is compared with a signal from a reference oscillator 11 by a phase comparator 10. The output of the comparator 10 is supplied as a channel selection signal VC to the oscillator 1 or 2 through an LPF12. The outputs of the oscillators 1 and 2 are supplied to a mixer respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow a picture tube to exhibit the lighting capability to the utmost while the safety of each CRT is secured by detecting each beam current from a cathode current of each CRT and providing an automatic luminance limit circuit based on the mean value and peak value of each detecting current. CONSTITUTION:When a video signal SV is fed to a terminal 4, the signal SV is fed to a signal processing circuit 5, from which red/green/blue signals are outputted. Then each chrominance signal is fed to a CRT1R or the like and a beam current IbR or the like is detected. When one of the currents IbR or the like reaches a limit beam current, any of transistors (TRs) 27R, 27G, 27B of a peak value ABL circuit 200 is turned on, a prescribed voltage VPABL is generated at a connecting point of each collector and this voltage is fed to a peak value ABL control terminal.
