PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus includes a simulation means which allows further easy prediction of a state of time difference syndrome.SOLUTION: Information on time difference and information on biological clock are input from an input unit 16 to an information acquisition unit 31. A simulation unit 32 performs simulation of jet lag based on the information supplied from the information acquisition unit 31 and model information stored in a model information storage unit 33. An output control unit 34 displays a continuation time of jet lag, a recovery time from jet lag or the like on a display constituting an output unit 17 based on the information to be supplied from the simulation unit 32. Although a development pattern is observed immediately synchronously with a sunshine pattern after change in VLSCN, it is not observed in DMSCN, and the time of desynchronization of VLSCN and DMSCN is presented to a user as the continuation time of jet lag. The information processing apparatus can be applied to a personal computer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, network and program for analyzing a gene control network, which may improve reliability. SOLUTION: The expression amount for each measurement time for a plurality of genes in a target cell is acquired. The type of expression suppressing mechanism for a gene in a complementary sequence is classified based on the behavioral pattern of the expression amount for each measurement time corresponding to the gene and on presence of overlapping of the same chromosome in a complementary sequence for each gene in complementary sequence in the target cell. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene classifying method, a gene classifying program and a gene classifying device to easily classify a gene based on a temporal behavior of a gene expression level. SOLUTION: The gene classifying method acquires expression levels of a plurality of genes at a plurality of corresponding observation points, and converts the expression level behavior to a binary series (binary string) along a temporal passage of the observation points by taking a positive or negative difference in expression level in the temporal passage direction of the observation points for each gene. The pattern (positive or negative pattern) takable by the binary string is inevitably determined according to the method. Each gene is classified on the basis of these patterns and the generated binary strings. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
