Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction device which can display a video whose top and bottom are reversed (180° rotation) with a simple structure, and can normally perform output to an outer unit and in which operability superior in intuition is realized even if the top and bottom are reversed. SOLUTION: Since a display part 2 itself is constituted so as to reverse and display the video, the top and bottom of video data outputted from an AV OUT connector 5e are not reversed even if a system is set to a mode where the top and bottom are reversed. Thus the write once type recording medium can be realized as a rewritable recording medium. In addition, by monitoring the writable residual capacity, the recording medium can record data which is made or being updated in the memory.
