Abstract:
An improved running shoe in which the laces, rather than lacing over the tongue of the shoe, are laced and tied in the rear, over the heel structured and arranged to thereby provide a snug-fit upon a wearer's foot.
Abstract:
A non-toxic extermination device is disclosed herein having an RF radiation generator providing microwave, high frequency waves for penetration through solid obstacles such as walls, floors, partitions or the like. The generated waves are characterized as being effective to cause insect internal molecular friction to generate deadly heat.
Abstract:
An improved sanitary wipe apparatus, a sterile, naturally sanitizing wipe adapted to be stored within a dispenser box and removed one-by-one for use by a person to remove anti-microbial agents from a top drinking surface of a beverage can before drinking therefrom.
Abstract:
A system and method for controlling contamination of harmful substances such as fungi in structures, which comprises the aspects of controlled evacuation of contamination in cavities within a structure, removal of the source of contamination at hard-to-reach structures in a substantially non-destructive manner, and treatment of contaminated surfaces to prevent re-contaminations. Controlled evacuation may be facilitated by creating a pressure gradient in a contaminated cavity, such as by drawing air through one or more inlets and outlets created in the structure while maintaining relatively safe containment of the contaminated air. The drawn air may be filtered to remove contaminants. The substantially non-destructive source removal process may include the use of biocide or microwaves to abate the mold colony in hard-to-reach structures. The surface treatment process comprises the application of a lock-down material to prevent re-contaminations.

Abstract:
A laser drilling process capable of producing a plurality of holes in a pharmaceutical dosage form, at high speed, is presented. The process utilizes a digital laser marking system (DigiMark.TM. variable marking system) to produce an unlimited number of holes through the surface or coating of a dosage form, at rates up to 100,000 units or more per hour.
Abstract:
An air pollution control device for controlling the velocity of discharge from an industrial chimney or smokestack in order to optimize the plume rise and thereby minimize air pollution comprising a variable pitch truncated cone adapted to be mounted at or near the top of the chimney or stack, said cone being constructed to be expandable and contractible with respect to the axis of the chimney or associated flue or flues and kinematic means manually or automatically operable to control the size of the flow path of the gases through the truncated cone.
