Abstract: In the apparatus for duplicating data, there are provided as data source a host processor (1) and as data receiver a plurality of peripheral storage devices (21 ... 2n), which are interconnected via a data and a control bus (3 and 4). In order to be able to transfer data information in parallel, the storage devices must be synchronised. For this, a sequence with individual request signals (e.g. dREQ) of all storage devices and acknowledgement signals (e.g. ACK) of the host processor runs byte-by-byte in such a way that the slowest of the active storage devices determines the chronological execution.
