Abstract: The present invention resolves the problem of micropositioning reading/writing heads quickly and precisely in relation to tape on a tape streamers, at the same time as the reading/writing head can be displaced across the complete width of the tape. At the same time it will have small stray field of magnetism which potentially can destroy tape and reading/writing heads.
