Abstract: - 15 Abstract A drill consumable engaging device is disclosed that comprises a lifting portion and at least one set of jaws 5 movable between an open position and a closed position. A scissor mechanism is disposed between the lifting portion and the at least one set of jaws and arranged such that when the lifting portion is lifted by a lifting device, the lifting portion moves away from the at least one set 10 of jaws and the at least one set of jaws moves towards the closed position, and when the lifting portion moves towards the at least one set of jaws, the at least one set of jaws moves towards the open position. The device also includes a locking device arranged to controllably cause 15 the at least one set of jaws to lock in the open position after the at least one set of jaws has moved from the closed position to the open position.
