    Abstract: Cooling panels (31) are attached to the shell (11) of a metallurgical vessel to form an internal lining of the shell. Each panel (31) comprises a coolant flow tube (36) bent to form inner and outer panel sections (37, 38) of zig-zag formation. Panel mounting pins (43) connected to the outer panel section (38) by connector straps project laterally outwardly from the panel through openings (45) in the shell and tubular shell protrusions (46) surrounding the openings (45). The ends of pins (43) are connected to the outer ends of protrusions (46) by welding metal discs (47) thus forming connections exteriorly of the shell in a way which seals the openings (45). Coolant inlet and outlet connectors (42) for the panel project outwardly through openings (48) in the shell and surrounding tubular protrusions (49) and connections are made by welding discs (51) between the connectors (42) and protrusions (49).

    Abstract: Paneles de refrigeracion (31) están unidos a la envuelta (11) de un recipiente metalurgico para formar un revestimiento interno de la envuelta. Cada panel (31) comprende un tubo de circulacion de refrigerante (36) doblado para formar secciones de panel interiores y exteriores (37, 38) de formacion en zig-zag. Espigas de montaje (43) del panel unidas a la seccion exterior del panel (38) por medio de abrazaderas conectoras (44) sobresalen lateralmente hacia fuera del panel a través de aberturas (45) en la envuelta y protrusiones tubulares de la envuelta (46) que rodean a las aberturas (45). Los extremos de las espigas (46) están unidos a los extremos exteriores de las protrusiones (46) por medio de la soldadura de discos de metal (47) formando así uniones exteriormente con respecto a la envuelta de una manera que sella las aberturas (45). Los conectores de entrada y salida de refrigerante (42) para el panel sobresalen hacia fuera a través de aberturas (48) en la envuelta y protrusiones tubulares (49( circundantes y se realizan las uniones por medio de la soldadura de discos (51) entre los conectores (42) y las protrusiones (49).
