Abstract: A block impact splitter is comprised of a support frame connected on a swivel to a stationary frame. A hammer is provided with a hammer head and secured to a pivotal arm pivotally connected to the support frame at a pivot connection. An actuating piston has a cylinder end thereof pivotally connected to the support frame and a piston rod end pivotally connected to the pivotal arm. The actuating piston displaces the hammer head to impact against a pitching blade assembly and to retract it therefrom. The pitching blade assembly has a pivotal support arm to which is secured a pitching blade. An adjusting mechanism positions the pitching blade relative to a block to be split along a parting slot of the block.

Abstract: An impact block splitter and a method of splitting casted concrete blocks is described. The impact block splitter is comprised of a cylindrical housing with a splitting blade secured to a lower end of the cylindrical housing. The splitting blade has an impact receiving rear end projecting inside the cylindrical housing. An impact element is displaceably mounted behind the impact receiving rear end of the spitting blade inside the housing. The cylindrical housing is displaceable axially to a downward position wherein the splitting blade is positioned on a surface of a block to be split. A pneumatic control system actuates the impact element to project it in a downward motion against the impact receiving rear end of the splitting blade to impart a blow thereto and to also cause the impact element to be retracted in an upward motion.

Abstract: A casted block molding apparatus, including a mold, first and second filler boxes, and a pressing mechanism. The first filler box is displaceable along opposed directions between an overlapping position where a first bottom opening is located over the mold cavities and a retracted position away from the mold cavities. The first bottom opening is closed by a first cover in the retracted position and is open over the mold cavities. The second filler box is mounted to the first filler box and displaceable therewith along the opposed directions. The bottom opening of the second filler box is closed by a second cover when the filler boxes are displaced from the retracted position to the overlapping position. The second bottom opening is open after the first filler box reaches the overlapping position. A method for molding casted blocks is also discussed.
