Abstract: An apparatus and method for roughing surfaces and edges of concrete casted blocks, comprising a block support surface having a plurality of surface sections. A first of the surface sections has a rear end thereof above an adjacent front end of a second of the surface sections to create a ledge for projecting a leading edge portion of concrete blocks conveyed over the first surface section. A first roughing device has a plurality of impacting elements thereon for roughing concrete blocks. The first roughing device is disposed generally above the rear end of the first surface section for abrading a projecting leading edge portion of each concrete block as they are conveyed over the rear end. A conveyor displaces concrete blocks over the first and second surface sections, the blocks being tilted when reaching a predetermined position over the ledge to avoid being abraded by the roughing device.

Abstract: Un aparato (10, 10A, 10B, 10C, 10D) para desbastar al menos una de las superficies y bordes (C¿) de bloques de hormigón colados y macizos (C), el cual comprende una superficie (12) de soporte de bloques, que tiene al menos dos secciones o tramos de superficie (17, 18, 19, 20), al menos un primer dispositivo de desbaste (30, 40, 50), que tiene una pluralidad de elementos de impacto (34, 44, 54) en el mismo, destinados a desbastar los bloques de hormigón (C), medios de transporte (60), destinados a desplazar los bloques de hormigón (C) sobre dichas secciones de superficie (17, 18, 19, 20), caracterizado por que: dichas secciones de superficie tienen un borde frontal recto (18F) y un borde de extremo trasero (17R), dispuestos paralelos entre sí y de manera que se extienden a través de la anchura de un recorrido de desplazamiento de una pluralidad de dichos bloques, que está siendo trasladada en posiciones relativas lado con lado; una primera (17, 18, 19) de dichas secciones de superficie (17,18, 19, 20) tiene un borde de extremo trasero (17R, 18R, 19R) de la misma dispuesto por encima de un borde de extremo frontal adyacente (18F, 19F, 20F) de una segunda (18, 19, 20) de dichas secciones de superficie (17, 18, 19, 20), a fin de crear una cornisa o repisa (L) para proyectar o hacer sobresalir una porción de borde delantero (C¿) de los bloques de hormigón (C) transportados sobre dicha primera sección de superficie (17, 18, 19); dicho primer dispositivo de desbaste (30, 40, 50) está dispuesto a una distancia predeterminada por encima de dichas superficies de soporte de bloque y generalmente por encima de dicho extremo trasero (17R, 18R, 19R) de dicha primera sección de superficie (17, 18, 19), a fin de desbastar bloques colados de hormigón de una manera no uniforme en la forma de una porción sobresaliente de borde delantero (C¿) de cada uno de dichos bloques de hormigón colados (C), conforme éstos son transportados sobre dicho extremo trasero (17R, 18R, 19R); y dichos bloques colados (C) son hechos bascular o volcados cuando alcanzan una posición predeterminada sobre dicha repisa (L), de manera que caigan sobre una segunda de dichas secciones de superficie por dicho borde frontal recto de las mismas.
