Abstract:
The method comprising the steps of: a) acquiring with a capturing module, traffic data from an input line and forwarding said traffic data to a detection module; and b) receiving, said detection module, said traffic data for performing a Deep Packet Inspection analysis of said traffic data received to perform a detection thereof, wherein said step a) comprises, acquiring said traffic data from at least two of said input lines and classifying it such that said forwarding to said detection module is performed in a chronological order for those packets belonging to a specific flow of said traffic data which come from said at least two input lines. The system of the invention is arranged to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
In the method of the invention said network traffic is monitored by means of descriptive metadata, said descriptive metadata is outputted by a Descriptive Metadata Interface of a Deep Packet Inspection, or DPI, deployment of a network and said descriptive metadata contains verbatim packet fields and accounting information. It is characterised in that it comprises correlating at least part of said descriptive metadata with information included in said descriptive metadata, centralized signatures and external data sources in order to enrich said descriptive metadata.
Abstract:
A method for composing configuration changes to be applied to a network element (41) in a distributed way. The method comprises the steps of: at a first server (42), generating a configuration file and signaling the content of said configuration file to the network element (41); according to said content of said configuration file, contacting by said network element (41) a plurality of supporting servers (43 44 45) and downloading from each of said supporting servers (43 44 45) partial pieces of the configuration changes to be applied to the network element (41); combining said partial pieces of configuration changes at said network element (41), thus obtaining a set of resulting configuration changes; applying at said network element (41) said set of resulting configuration changes.

Abstract:
Method and System for the creation, modification and removal of a distributed virtual CPE. The at least one distributed virtual CPE comprising at least one IP Edge node, at least one Carrier Grade NAT node, at least one User Configuration Server and at least one Line Configuration Server, the method creating said at least one distributed virtual CPE upon the reception of traffic from a home in the access line corresponding to said home; modifying said at least one distributed virtual CPE upon a customer request; removing said at least one distributed virtual CPE, upon a traffic inactivity timeout detected in said access line or upon an administrative command; and associating a line identifier and a customer identifier to said at least one distributed virtual CPE, wherein said association, termed vCPE context, is known partially or totally by the at least one IP Edge node, the at least one Carrier Grade NAT, the at least one User Configuration Server and the at least one Line Configuration Server, and is kept active during the whole life cycle of said distributed virtual CPE from the creation to the removal.
