Abstract: The radar reconnaissance procedure uses a coherent pulsed Doppler radar with modification of the phase of the transmitted signal, and memorisation of this signal phase. The received signal phase is compared with that of the transmitted signal which has been recorded in memory. From the received signals, the system selects those components have a phase variation which corresponds to that of the transmitted signal. During a time (Tv) the transmission frequency is modified by a value (ft) with the aid of a variable frequency oscillator (16) controlled by a pulse sequence generator (15). The output signal of the oscillator is applied both to a mixer circuit receiving a hyperfrequency circuit provided by a multiplier (17), and also to phase detector circuits (3,4) which measure the phase of the received signals.
