Abstract: Welding tongs comprise two pole arms (1, 2) pivoting in a base body (3). The arms support lines (10-13) leading to the welding heads (6, 7) arranged on the ends of the pole arms. The pole arms and/or the base body are made from a fiber composite material. Preferred Features: The pole arms and/or the base body are made from a carbon fiber or glass fiber composite material. The pole arms are formed as I-profiles.
