Abstract: A transmitter (1) converts an input signal from a microphone (2) into a plural-bit digital signal by means of an A/D converter (4) at predetermined time intervals. An encoder (6) divides the digital signal into plural blocks and adds a parity bit to each block to thereby form a coded signal. A transmitting unit (8) modulates a carrier with the coded signal and transmits the modulated carrier through an antenna (10). A receiver (12) includes two tuning units (18A, 18B). Corresponding coded signals outputted from the tuning units (18A, 18B) are inputted to a decoder (20). The decoder (20) makes a parity check on respective blocks of the corresponding coded signals and selects and outputs an error-free one of the corresponding blocks of the corresponding coded signals.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital receiver reducing phase distortion of an analog signal produced by converting a digital audio data sequence transmitted on a radio transmission line.
SOLUTION: Time series digital audio signals demodulated from transmission signals are written sequentially in a first-in first-out register 36 in synchronism with their generation timing. The time series digital audio signals are read out sequentially from the register 36 in synchronism with the timing of a read signal from a numeric control oscillator 40. The numeric control oscillator 40 is controlled by a control section 42 to read out the time series digital audio signals at a quick timing if the number of writing stages of the time series digital audio signals in the shift register 36 is larger than a specified value otherwise read out the time series digital audio signals at a slow timing. The read out timing is selected such that the variation thereof becomes smaller than the variation in generation timing. The time series digital audio signals read out from the register 36 are interpolated at an interpolating section 44 to correspond with the conversion timing at a digital/analog converter 30.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output voice with quality which is in matching with needs even under a reception environment, where a disturbing wave exists. SOLUTION: An RF reception section 1 outputs an RSSI signal denoting strength of a received signal, a unique word detection section 3 outputs a UW signal representing synchronization/asynchronization of a digital signal, and an error correction section 4 outputs a bit B signal every time receiving a bit and outputs a BE signal denoting an erroneous bit, every time the error bit is detected. Counters 62, 63 count the number of B and BE signals on the basis of a time T set by a measurement time setting circuit 61, a divider circuit 64 divides the counts to obtain a BER signal representing error rate. A discrimination circuit 69 controls a muting circuit 5 in a way such that no muting is conducted, when a level of the RSSI signal is a reference level RFRSSI or over, the UW signal denotes synchronization and the BER signal is lower than a reference level RFBER. A user can variably set the reference level RFBER and the time T, and then a voice with quality which is in matching with the needs can be outputted.
