Abstract: An A/D converter provides a high conversion accuracy even when an input analog signal is at a low level. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D converter with high conversion precision, even when a level of an input analog signal is small. SOLUTION: This A/D converter 10 is provided with a 1st system, that includes a 1st A/D converter unit ADC1 connecting to an input terminal 1 receiving an analog signal, with a 2nd system that has a 1st amplifier AMP1 connecting to the input terminal 1 and having an amplification factor of 2 (where m>0), a 2nd A/D converter unit ADC2 and a 2nd amplifier AMP2 having an amplification factor of 2 , and with changeover means LDET, SW that connect the output of the 1st or the 2nd system to an output terminal 2, depending on an output level of the 1st system.
