Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of an air bubble which enters sample liquid inevitably and to take a measurement stably at all times by blowing air to a light-irradiated area on the surface of the sample liquid through the opening of a flow cell. CONSTITUTION:A light confinement path 6 is formed in the flow cell 1 by extending an internal wall part corresponding to the path of light externally and cylindrically. An air blowing nozzle 9 of about 2mm in diameter is fitted at height of about 5cm from the liquid surface of the sample water 3 above the flow cell 1 and on the opposite side from a light emitting device 7. Further, the angle theta between the air blowing nozzle 9 and sample water 3 is set to about 35 deg.. Further, an air pump 10 is connected to the air blowing nozzle 9 and an air pressure governor choke 11 is provided between the both. Then when a measurement is taken, air is blown to the liquid surface part of the sample water 3 where light is projected from the nozzle 9, so even if there is an air bubble in the sample water, it is moved to a peripheral side and never reaches the light irradiated area. Therefore, there is no scatter by an air bubble and the measurement is performed stably at all times.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dissolved oxygen-measuring apparatus which is an a simple structure without adverse influences of clogging of dust, corrosion, etc., can apply a necessary flow velocity with a small consuming amount of power to water in touch with an electrode, and is suitable to measure continuously for a long time particularly in a fish preserve of a wide farm. SOLUTION: An air lift tube 3 is set at a water exit 1b of a flow cell 1 in which an electrode 2 for measuring dissolved oxygen is disposed. The flow cell 1 is placed in water. At this time, an air introduction opening 3a of the air lift tube 3 is kept under the surface of water. A flow of water is generated in the flow cell 1 when the air is injected through an air pump 4, whereby dissolved oxygen in water is measured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct an effect due to the stain of a cell window and thereby to enable stable measurement of turbidity for a long time by providing a light source for correction at equal distances from two light-sensing parts, by detecting the stain of a measuring cell from a difference between sensedlight outputs of a transmitted light and by executing the correction. CONSTITUTION:The scattered light of a light 10 applied to water 21 to be inspected from a light source 1 for measuring turbidity is sensed by photocells 4 and 5 and sensed-light outputs are inputted to a differential amplifier 8. Since a difference between the sensed-light outputs of the photocells 4 and 5 is proportional to the turbidity of the water 21, the turbidity of the water 21 is determined by amplification computation executed in the differential amplifier 8. In the case when a cell window 3 of the photocell 4 is stained, for instance, a light 11 from a light source 2 for correction which is provided at equal distances from the photocells 4 and 5 and lighted alternately with the light source 1 is applied and sensed-light signals of a transmitted light sensed by the photocells 4 and 5 are inputted to a differential amplifier 9. The differential amplifier 9 prepares a correction output for removing the difference between the sensed-light outputs of the photocells 4 and 5, by the amplification computation, and feeds it back to preamplifiers of the photocells 4 and 5 and thereby the sensed-light outputs of the two photocells are corrected.
