Abstract: A pH measuring electrode having a sensor film (3) which is sensitive to hydrogen ion (H⁺) in solution and method of manufacturing it are described. The electrode has a sensor film (3) of metal oxide deposited on an electrically conductive support (1) so that the sensor film can be miniaturized. Also, in a further embodiment, the electrode includes a porous film (23) of insulation material coated on the surface of the metal oxide sensor film so that the sensor film is not affected by any interferring substances.
