Abstract: 본발명은적어도 Li 및 Ni, Mn을함유하는스피넬형구조를갖는화합물을포함하는정극활성물질입자분말이고, 상기정극활성물질입자분말의 Li 함유량은몰비로 Li/(Ni+Mn)가 0.3 내지 0.65이며, Ni 함유량은 5 내지 25 중량%, Na 함유량은 0.05 내지 1.9 중량%, S 함유량은 0.0005 내지 0.16 중량%이고, Na 함유량과 S 함유량의합이 0.09 내지 1.9005 중량%인것을특징으로하는정극활성물질입자분말에관한것이다. 본발명의정극활성물질입자분말은높은방전전압을갖고, 방전용량이우수한비수부전해질이차전지용정극활성물질입자분말로서바람직하다.

Abstract: Disclosed is a lithium manganate particle powder having a primary particle diameter of 1-8 µm and substantially composed of single-phase particles. This lithium manganate particle powder is characterized by having a composition satisfying the following chemical formula: Li1+xMn2-x-yY1yO4 + Y2 (wherein Y1 is at least one of Ni, Co, Mg, Fe, Al, Cr and Ti; Y2 is P; 0.03 = x = 0.15; 0.05 = y = 0.20; and Y2 is 0.01-0.6 mol% relative to Mn). The lithium manganate particle powder is also characterized in that the lithium manganate particles have a specific surface area of 0.3-0.9 m2/g (as determined by a BET method) and an average particle diameter (D50) of 3-10 µm. A positive electrode active material for lithium ion secondary batteries which uses such a lithium manganate has high output and excellent high-temperature stability.
