    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an automatic damping device for use in vehicles, said device being activated by collision of the vehicle and without the operation of the brake pedal by the driver. In a further embodiment of the present disclosure, the damping condition of the vehicle can be obtained and maintained in a collision situation as soon as the driver depresses the brake pedal. The function of the device does not interfere with the regular braking operation so as to insure the regular braking operation under normal operating conditions.

    Abstract: An acceleration responsive switching device which comprises a casing having, at its bottom portion, a reverse cone-shaped inner wall, a weight ball movably put in the casing and normally positioned on said reverse cone-shaped inner wall at its central portion, a switch means provided in the casing at the center of the bottom portion and being normally in contact with said weight ball and adapted to be disengaged from the contact with said ball when the ball is upwardly moved along an inclined face of said reverse cone-shaped inner wall due to an acceleration given. The present switching device is exactly and instantaneously responsive to an excessive acceleration, thereby enabling the traffic accident to be effectively avoided. The device is simple in construction and easy to manufacture at a reasonable cost.

    Abstract: An improved combination switching arrangement for use in a motor vehicle or the like includes a plurality of actuators to be displaced by operation of a control lever, and a switch unit having a switch base on which switch elements to be selectively opened or closed by the movements of the actuators are fixed. The switch elements are disposed on the upper surface and the under surface of the switch base, while at least one set of the actuators are movably provided at the upper and under surfaces of the switch base so as to be connected to each other through an opening formed in the switch base for simple construction and compact size of the switching arrangement.
