CONSTITUTION:A surface reinforced layer 21 is formed, and a section, in which there is no surface reinforced layer, each laminating resin of sections corresponding to an electrode section 5 and a scribing line 2, that is, a protective layer 14, intermediate layers 12, 10 and a base layer 8, are removed successively through etching, and the electrode section 5 and the scribing line 2 are brought to the state in which the electrode section 5 and the scribing line 2 are completely exposed respectively through dry etching. A semiconductor wafer is cut in a chip shape along the scribing lines 2, thus forming solid-state image sensing elements with color filters.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form the sectional shape of a hue pattern adjacent to a dummy pattern and to form a satisfactory hue pattern having small distortion by providing dummy hue patterns at both outsides of the hue pattern or at the outside of the end of a pixel unit. CONSTITUTION:A green hue pattern 12 is formed as a first layer hue pattern on a transparent board 11. Similar dummy pattern 12a to the hue pattern is formed at a position at which the hue pattern is not required, and an intermediate layer 13 of a predetermined thickness is formed of transparent resin thereon by spin coating. A predetermined pattern mask is so used as to stepwisely disposed a second layer hue pattern at a position deviated from the first layer pattern 12, exposed and developed, and dyed with red to form a second layer red hue pattern 14. Further, an intermediate layer 15 and a third layer blue hue pattern are sequentially laminated by similar means, a surface layer 17 of transparent layer is laminated on the uppermost part to form a color filter.

For example, a frame-shaped aluminum film 3 is applied on some of a group of photodetectors 2 and prior to the formation of a color filter layer 4 having a plurality of hues on an inner side surrounded with the film 3, a transparent resin layer 12 is formed on the inner side surrounded with the film 3 to eliminate substantially a step between the film 3 and a substrate 1 in a region where the layer 4 is formed.

For example, green hues 12 are formed on a transparent substrate 11 as first-layer hues, an intermediate layer 13 consisting of a transparent resin is formed on the upper parts of the hues 12 and second-layer red hues 14 are formed on the upper part of the layer 13 being shifted from the positions of the first-layer green hues 12. Moreover, an intermediate layer 15 and third-layer blue hues 16 are laminated in the same way as the above way and a surface layer 17 consisting of a transparent resin is laminated on the uppermost part to form the color filter.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the light incident in a photodetector section without dispersion and collection by filling the ditch of the rugged part caused on the surface of the final layer of a color separation filter by a transparent resin so as to smooth the surface thereby improving the rectilinear propagation of light which is made incident in the filter. CONSTITUTION:A red color element layer 2a, a green color element layer 2b and a blue color element layer 2c are formed. Then the final layer 4 made of a photosensitive transparent resin is formed on the entire face by the photolithography and the ditch caused on the upper face of the final layer 4 is smoothed by coating an FVR being a photosensitive resin on the entire face at first. Then the photolithography is applied to cure only the resin in the deep ditch on the color element layer 2a, the development processing is applied to remove the uncured resin. Moreover, the FVR is coated on the entire face and the photography to cure only the resin in the shallow ditch on the color element layer 2b is applied and the development processing is applied to remove the uncured resin and to apply packing. As a result, the upper face of the resin packing the ditch and the upper face of the final layer 4 on the color element layer 2c are mated as one plane.
