    Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled air-heating furnace in which roller revolution is continuously controlled as optimum values corresponding to the temperature in the furnace, thus reducing the switching time from the threading to the steady operation to cause marked reduction in fluctuation without troubles. CONSTITUTION:The temperature in the furnace and the revolution of rollers 3 outside the furnace are detected with the detector 4 and the detectors 5, 5' respectively and the resultant signals are continuously sent to the arithmetic unit 6. The arithmetic unit 6 calculates the temperature signals A from the detector 4, as the roller revollution optimum value C on the basis of the progra for the optimum value for roller revolution corresponding to the furnace temperature. Further, the difference between the correct roller revolution value C and the revolution B' from the detectors 5, 5'and the resultant value is sent to the speed changers 7, 7' as the compensation signals D to adjust the roller revolution in an appropriate range.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for the heat-treatment of yarn, having decreased temperature difference in the chamber, by attaching a sealing chamber and a hot-air exhaust duct to the top of the heat-treatment chamber, and another sealing chamber and a hot-air feed duct to the bottom of the heat-treatment chamber. CONSTITUTION:A number of guide rollers 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b and 4c are placed above and below the heat-treatment chamber 2, and a yarn 1 extended between said rollers is transferred through the heat-treatment chamber 2 to effect the heat-treatment (flameproofing treatment). The top sealing chambers 5a-5e and the bottom sealing chambers 8a-8e are placed in the heat-treatment chamber at the top part and the bottom part, respectively, and the top hot-air ducts 6a-6e and the bottom hot-air ducts 7a-7e are placed under the top sealing chambers and above the bottom sealing chambers, respectively. The number of the chambers corresponds to the number of the running yarns. Air is blown into the chamber through the holes of the top and the yarn side of the top sealing chamber 5, sucked from the chamber through the holes of the bottom and the yarn side of the bottoms sealing chamber 8, and exhausted from the duct. The hot air for heat-treatment is blown through the bottom hot-air duct 7 into the chamber, passed through the heat-treatment chamber 2, sucked through the top hot-air duct, and discharged to the outer atmosphere.
