Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily realize a medium gradation by forming the titled device in such a manner that the ratio between the electrostatic capacity which each of intermediate electrodes forms with a signal electrode and the electrostatic capacity which each of said intermediate electrodes forms with a scanning electrode varies stepwise. CONSTITUTION:Matrix display is executed by providing the plural signal electrodes and the plural scanning electrodes to this device and impressing voltages between these electrodes to control the directions of the liquid crystal molecules existing therebetween. The plural intermediate electrodes 12 which are electrically separated are provided between the signal electrode 9 and the scanning electrode 10 with respect to one picture element formed by crossing of the signal electrode 9 and the scanning electrode 10. The ratio between the electrostatic capacity which each of the intermediate electrodes 12 forms with the signal electrode 9 and the electrostatic capacity which each of the same electrodes 12 forms with the scanning electrode 10 is thereby varied stepwise. The medium degradation is thus attained even with the liquid crystal having the steep threshold value in the voltage-light transmissivity characteristic.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To record positions or shapes easily on a recording medium such as magnetic disc or magnetic tape without using any stylus by measuring the position of the spot light source on an object separately with two units of image pickup devices installed spacially at a prescribed distance, and determining the position thereof by the principle of triangulation. CONSTITUTION:The coordinates of the spot light on an object 2 to be measured with respect to television cameras 31, 32 are obtained, and these are inputted to a microcomputer system 36. These coordinates, the focal lengths of the cameras 31, 32, and the spacing between the cameras 31, 32 provide data for triangulation, and the three-dimensional coordinates of the position where the spot light is irradiated are determined by the microcomputer 36. Here, the two cameras 31, 32 output the peak coordinates of the spot light by a method of least squares, etc. whereby the measurement of high accuracy is accomplished.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add a function for correcting an error due to noise with a radio system, such as multiple paths by permitting selected signals which are transmitted from slave stations to have a redundancy degree, converting them into multi-bit group signals and transmitting them to a master station as transmission data. SOLUTION: Slave stations 1 are terminal equipment, where plural depression switches 101 for selecting an answer by a user and the display lamp 121 of LED are arranged. Although the master station 2 is connected to a personal computer 3 it is the portable personal computer, and it is provided with a PC card slot 301. Each slave station 1 encodes a selected signal into a prescribed bit group signal, modulates it into a prescribed time slot assigned to the station 1 for radio communication, and transmits it to the master station 2 as transmission data. The master station 2 successively receives transmission data form the slave stations 1, respectively demodulates them into the bit group signals, and then decodes the selected signals of the slave stations 1 which are the bit group signals by referring a conversion table disposed in the master station.

CONSTITUTION:The master station 2 receives and arranges the digital data showing the opinions of the answerers which continue with time by radio communication from slave stations 1 that the answerers have. At this time, the digital data is converted into the start-stop serial signal while start bits and stop bits are added and transmitted from the master station 2 to the computer equipment 3, which arranges the digital data. Consequently, the opinions of many answerers can be arranged in a short period of time by a small-sized device.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image quality being equal to a TFT of a three-terminal element, and also, to simplify the structure by radiating light beams to a photoconductive body between a transparent picture element electrode and a common electrode or a signal electrode. CONSTITUTION:Between glass substrates 9, 10 to which polarizing films 11, 12 have been stuck, a liquid crystal 6, a data signal use electrode 7, a common electrode 5, a transparent picture element electrode 4, an oriented film and a color filter 13 are provided. Also, an amorphous Si thin film is provided as a photoconductive body 3 between the electrodes 4, 5. In this state, when a scanning signal of light is led to an optical waveguide 2, a part thereof irradiates the photoconductive body 3 through the electrode 4, a resistance value is lowered quickly by a generated and a carrier, the electrodes 4, 5 become a conducting state, an applied voltage to the electrode 7 in this case is applied to the liquid crystal 6, charge is accumulated in a capacitor consisting of the electrodes 7, 4, and an image memory can be formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent dirt on an information storage plane, by detaching the tip of sheet discharge from a drum surface with elastic operation of sheet itself and turning the drum toward sheet discharging direction, while keeping a part of area in other parts of the sheet except the tip to an electrostatic bonding state. CONSTITUTION:A thin insulation layer 3 such as polyester is formed on a cylindrical drum 1, and the drum 1 is turned with a driving force by a motor fitted to a shift 2. Grooves 5, 6 are provided in parallel at a specified positions on a circumference of the drum 1, and a bar stopper 10 is located between the grooves 5, 6, the 1st and 2nd bars 8, 9 are fitted to the stopper 10, and the bars 8, 9 are turned incorporatedly with the drum 1. Further, the bar is falled toward the rotating drum 1, a paper 13 is wound adheredly to the drum 1, the bar 9 is automatically inserted to the groove 6 when the drum 1 turns once, and the end of the paper 13 is held between the end and the groove 6. With this state, the drum 1 is stopped at the location where the bars 8, 9 are opposed to the stopper 10, the bars 8, 9 go upward and the paper after the end of recording is discharged.
