Abstract: Provided is a dyeable polyolefin fiber comprising a sea-island structure in which a polyolefin (A) is the sea component and a copolyester (B) obtained by copolymerizing cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid is the island component, the polyolefin fiber characterized in that the dispersion diameter of the island component in a lateral cross section of the fiber is 30 to 1000 nm. Provided is a dyeable polyolefin fiber in which bright, deep coloring is imparted to the lightweight polyolefin fiber, oxidative decomposition during tumbler drying and yellowing during long-term storage are minimized, and the polyolefin fiber can be suitably used as a fibrous structure.

Abstract: This false twist yarn comprises dyeable polyolefin fibers which are characterized as being polymer alloy fibers each having a sea-island structure in which a polyolefin (A) is the sea component and a polyester (B) having cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid compolymerized therein is the island component, and in which the dispersion diameter of the island component in a fiber cross-section is 30-1000 nm, wherein the number of the polymer alloy fibers is three or more, and the polymer alloy fibers have physical properties (1) and (2): (1) crimp recovery (CR) being 10-40%; and (2) hot-water dimensional change being 0.0-7.0%. As a result, a polyolefin false twist yarn capable of developing vivid and profound colors is provided even though the polyolefin fibers therein are light in weight.

Abstract: A sea-islands type composite fiber characterized in that an island component is a polymer having moisture absorbability, the ratio (T/R) of the thickness (T) of an outermost layer to the diameter (R) of the fiber on a transverse cross-section of the fiber is 0.05 to 0.25, and the moisture absorption rate difference (”MR) after a hot water treatment is 2.0 to 10.0%. The term "thickness of an outermost layer" refers to the difference between the radius of the fiber and the radius of a circumscribed circle formed by connecting apexes of island components located on an outermost periphery, and represents the thickness of a sea component in the outermost layer. Provided is a sea-islands type composite fiber which does not undergo the cracking of a sea component upon the volume expansion of a moisture-absorbable polymer that serves as an island component during a hot water treatment such as a dyeing treatment, rarely undergoes the formation of dying specks or fluffs when the composite fiber is formed into a fiber structure such as a woven fabric or a knitted fabric, has excellent quality, is reduced in the elution of the moisture-absorbable polymer, also has excellent moisture absorbability even after a hot water treatment such as a dyeing treatment, and also has dry touch inherent to a polyester fiber when the sea component is polyester.
